life is sweet ...
this afternoon i went into the city to collect mr b from the train station.
as i drove through birmingham, mumford & sons' brilliant 'awake my soul' came on the the radio.
using the (rare) quiet moment to mentally tick off jobs completed and those waiting to be stitched and printed, i felt happy to be bringing mr b home. and happy that i would soon be on my way back to the studio and back to my work.
then, as i sat counting my blessings, a shaft of beautiful sunlight broke through the grey clouds, illuminating the car with a lovely warm yellow glow.
just as the chorus of 'where you invest your love, you invest your life' rang out around the car.
in that utterly gloriously simple moment.
life felt very sweet indeed.
(the vintage ice cream van was mr b's treat for the baby bird from his trip away. cute, no?)
